Awesome crossover idea: A serial killer is on the loose somewhere in the US, and the characters of Castle, due South, Bones, Body of Proof, and Rizzoli & Isles have to team up to catch him or her. Some or all of the following happens:
What else should happen in this crossover? I know I'm missing some good things.
You know what would also be amazing? If Mary McDonnell were to guest star on BoP as, like, Bud and Sam's lieutenant/captain, or one of Megan's old med school mentors or neurologist colleagues or something. Anything where she and Dana Delany would share several scenes. I think my screen would implode from that much awesome on it.
(ETA: Come to think of it, DD did guest star in an episode of BSG ("Sacrifice"). I should rewatch that and see if they were in a scene together...)
- Megan, Maura, and Brennan all gather together to geek out over the bodies and also probably annoy each other;
- Peter, Jane, and Booth all commiserate about their crackpot scientists with no interpersonal skills down at the bar, and also kind of obliquely discuss the fact that they all have feeeeeelings for said partners (hey, it's my crossover, I can assume these things);
- Fraser fangirls Castle, and Castle likes him so much that he takes him, Dief, and RayV out on the town;
- RayK tries to hit on Beckett and fails miserably, but she thinks he's entertaining anyway and agrees to go for a ride in his cool car;
- Thatcher, Welsh, Cam, Montgomery, and Kate Murphy also go down to the bar to commiserate over their insubordinate subordinates whom, in two cases, anyway, they have big crushes on (see earlier note about how it's my crossover and I'm assuming things I like);
- Basically there is a lot of drinking;
- Ethan, Curtis, Hodgins, and all the squinterns get together and, like, invent cold fusion or something;
- Esposito and Ryan have a not-so-friendly rivalry with Huey, Dewey, and Louis (because let's face it, the Duck Boys kind of are jerks) that ends in minor bloodshed and a trip to the emergency room;
- Bud and Sam at first attempt to stop said rivalry, but then decide it's much more fun to watch it play out;
- Frannie and Angela hang out and paint each others' nails;
- Fraser and Megan compete to see who can make the most brilliant deductive leap in order to solve the case;
- RayV attempts to give Bud fashion advice and gets glared at a lot;
- Alexis and Lacey somehow manage to come into contact and don't really like each other for the combined reasons of a five-year age difference and the fact that Lacey seems way too girly/in-crowd for Alexis's taste;
- Cam, Castle, and Megan have a chat/stealth brag-fest about raising teenaged girls;
- Sam and Jane tell Beckett her shoes are ridiculous (sure, their MEs wear those crazy heels, but at least they aren't chasing down criminals on a semi-regular basis! Well, okay, at this point I wouldn't put it past BoP to have Megan doing that one day, but still...);
- Dief runs afoul of Maura's turtle and Jane's dog;
- At some point in their tete-a-tete, Brennan and Maura start trading really terrible dating tips, and Megan is like, "Look, I'm horrible with living people too, but guys, even I can tell you where you're going wrong";
- Angela and Barry bond over computer geekery;
- Martha, either because she's "sensitive" or because she drinks a lot, can see and hear Bob. And, well, Bob does appear to like redheads...

Date: 2011-04-16 05:01 pm (UTC)Castle is so taken with Dief that he offers to adopt him, and when that doesn't work he finds and buys a Dief-lookalike...who actually turns out to be Dief's long-lost twin brother.
[Aside: I have not yet actually seen Body of Proof -- it's a Tuesday-night conflict thing -- and as a result when I see the acronym "BoP", I do the mental flashback to the TV version of Birds of Prey. Which, of course, leads to the conclusion that there should be a BoP/BoP crossover....]

And I would love to see that as well.
I've heard of Birds of Prey, but know nothing about it. Amusing that they both have the same acronym, though.

Date: 2011-04-16 10:45 pm (UTC)You shoooooould! It's fun! And it's very much the kind of show that would result if Bones and Castle had a brainchild, like to the point where it does feel derivative, but I can't help enjoying it. It's not exactly good from a storytelling standpoint yet (dear show: please to be explaining why the ME is now interviewing suspects), but the characters and cast are great. And even if Dana Delany is the chief aspect to recommend the show, she is nonetheless one hell of a recommendation. (I was watching the Castle two-parter with Agent Shaw today, and I've decided she needs to be part of this crossover as well.)
or Rizzoli and Isles
This, on the other hand, I cannot recommend, because even I gave up after about three episodes. I mostly just read the occasional fic for it because it feeds my need for a partner 'ship (*ba-dum-ching*) that is also femslashy, and I haven't had one of those since Xena.
I would particularly love to see the result of the Duck Triplets going head to head with Esposito and Ryan, because that would be awesome.
I feel like there would be much betting involved. And probably Dewey in particular being an underhanded asshole.
