Alas, today it rained, so I did not go out and read the Rubaiyat under a bough. However, neither did I add Victorians to my review, since I think it will be more helpful to type up my study session notes/marginalia at the same time as I'm going through and copying the pertinent points of plot summary from Masterplots. That's my project for Thursday.
Instead, I got through the rest of the Katherine Mansfield stories I had to read, cursing all the while. (It's not that I object to the plotlessness of her short fiction, nor even that I don't like it--it still manages to be more interesting than some things I've read, and has occasional moments of beauty--but it's just...I don't even know what to underline! And I still have to write a response to them. I have no idea what to say.) And now I should be toddling off to finish The Voyage Out, but I may have say, "Self, you have gotten a lot accomplished over the past five days, and it might be time to take the night off and write fanfic." (I think I'm close to finishing something! Further updates as events warrant.)
