Oh, god. Plants happened. *blows nose for the thousandth time today* Antihistamines are on my list for tomorrow. Ugh. Why does an allergy attack make me want to go t sleep for about twelve hours? I walked the dogs at six, got a noseful of whatever makes me sneeze, and I've been struggling to keep my eyes open ever since. I should not be contemplating bed at ten o'clock on a Friday night.

Work was good today (yay casual Fridays). In addition to running around the print room packing up binders to be shipped out, I got to see a bit of what my job actually entails for the first time. It'll be pretty repetitive (clicking and dragging product drawings and written info into Acrobat documents according to different lists of materials requested), but neither too challenging nor too mind-numbingly easy, at least not for a few months. (Though I can definitely see why nobody stays in this job for more than a year.)

One of the guys who works in the print room does dog agility competitions, so I picked his brain a bit about that. When I saw a competition on Animal Planet a few years ago, I thought, "Sammie would love that," but I am so not up to the challenge of training her. Plus, she's twelve now, so that might be a bit old.

There was the trade show, too. It was pretty small (we spent all of forty-five minutes there), but there were showers of sparks! There was some kind of national trade competition going on--regional winners of electrical wiring, carpentry, masonry, etc. competitions came here to compete for some prize--and there were welders welding competitively. Yay sparks! It was actually kind of cool to watch the bricklayers working. They were fast. Also, free pens, keychains, etc. I understood, like, nothing at any of the booths, but hey. Freebies.

Other things...oh! Thanks to Kate, I have Kinder Eggs! Thanks, Kate! Yay for chocolate and little toys. :)
