These episodes do really feel as if everyone's the most with it they've been over the past four years, yes. I remember my first time through, my jaw was just sort of on the ground the entire time at how GREAT it all was--the writing, the acting, everything.

I didn't even like S5 my first time through. To be honest, there are still parts of it (BYRON) I haven't seen, because I sped through them to save my sanity.
